Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies) celebrated 77th Republic Day on 26th January 2026 in the College Premises with a great enthusiasm, patriotism and with a sense of National pride. The program was organized remember the adaption of Constitution of India and to instill the feeling of unity, integrity and responsibility of students. The program commenced at 10:00 AM with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony which was followed by the National Anthem which created a patriotic atmosphere in the whole campus. The flag hoisting was followed by the addressing of the gathering which was done by the Officiating Principal Dr. Deepika Delsa Dean, who highlighted the significance of Republic Day, Constitutional Values and guided students how to act as a responsible citizen of India. The addressal was followed by the song “Vande Mataram” which was sung by the college choir. Then the students recited poetry both in Hindi and English which showcased their thoughts on freedom, rights and cultural diversity of India. There were some dance performances by the students. It was followed with a Vote of Thanks expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizers for their valuable contributions. After the Vote of Thanks, the students and the faculty clicked the group photograph which was followed by the refreshments of the students, and everyone present in the programme. At 11:30AM the students and the faculty member gathered around for a patriotic walk in the campus in which students held banners of AICTE, “One Nation, One Time, One Resolve”, and chanted slogans like “Vande Mataram”, “Jai Javan, Jai Kisan, Jai Samvidhan” which filled the campus with national pride and enthusiasm. The walk served as a powerful reminder of India’s strength and unity.
