Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies) joyfully organized a Christmas Pageant in the college auditorium on the inspiring theme “Bethlehem: The Night That Changed Everything.” The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm, showcasing the talent, creativity, and dedication of the students.
The programme commenced with a soulful devotion led by the President, Dr. (Mrs.) E.S. Charles, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the occasion. Her words created an atmosphere of reflection, preparing the audience to embrace the true essence of Christmas.
The first scene unfolded with a vibrant and lively market setting, beautifully portraying the festive spirit. Children were seen playing joyfully, youngsters wandered cheerfully, and families were engaged in festive shopping. Adding a contemporary touch, a reporter accompanied by a cameraperson moved through the scene, interacting with people and capturing their thoughts on the significance and celebration of Christmas. This segment vividly reflected the joy, warmth, and cultural richness associated with the festival.
The second scene transitioned into a studio setting, where a pastor eloquently narrated the divine story of the birth of Jesus Christ. He spoke about how Jesus came into the world to bring salvation, love, and hope to humanity. The narrative beautifully described the moment when Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, announcing that she would give birth to the Son of God. Despite humble beginnings, Mary and Joseph demonstrated unwavering faith and obedience to God’s will.
The story further unfolded with the birth of Jesus in a modest stable in Bethlehem, symbolizing simplicity and humility. The shepherds were the first to receive the joyous news, followed by the Wise Men who were guided by a shining star to offer their gifts and worship Him. The pastor emphasized the profound message that Jesus, though a king, was born among ordinary people, spreading the values of peace, forgiveness, and unconditional love.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt note of appreciation by the Officiating Principal, Dr. Deepika D. Dean. She commended the students and faculty members for their hard work, creativity, and collaborative spirit in making the event a grand success.
Overall, the Christmas Pageant was a beautiful blend of devotion, storytelling, and artistic expression. It not only celebrated the birth of Christ but also reinforced the values of unity, compassion, and faith, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
