Events and Traditions
Isabella Thoburn Intermediate College believes that our students are the innovators of tomorrow and we strive to provide school activities that encourage our students and educators alike. Extra & Co-curricular activities help the students to develop their personalities & physical aptitude. Besides Academic Curriculum, for the all-round development of students, the College organizes co-curricular activities under various clubs like Debates, Dramatics, Quiz, Just a Minute, Working Models, Poster & Collage Making, Non-Fire Cooking. In 2022-23 the College organized an inter college cultural fest “Dynamix”, to provide a platform which gave an opportunity to various colleges to showcase their talents.
Moral and Spiritual Education (M.S.E.)
Moral Education is given to the Students for inculcation of sound moral values and Character formation, for which a regular class is scheduled within the weekly timetable. This class does not seek to propagate any particular Religion.
Student Government Association (S.G.A.)
Student Government Association aims to encourage training in citizenship in a democratic framework and to foster a sense of responsibility in the students. All students are members of the S.G.A. Membership dues to the S.G.A. are paid at the time of admission.
Student Christian Movement
All Christian Students are members of the Student Christian Movement. These students are responsible for organizing various Christian Activities held round the year in the College.
Morning Assembly
Morning Assemblies are held daily at 07:45 a.m. It is compulsory for the Faculty and Students to attend it. These morning assemblies are conducted by the Principal, Faculty, S.G.A., and S.C.M. students. Only Christian Worship is permitted in the College premises and Hostels.
College Choir
Interested students may join the College Choir which assists the daily morning assemblies and special programmes held in the college.
Games and Sports
Regular classes are scheduled on the timetable to promote sound health, to inculcate sportsman spirit, and to foster the spirit of healthy competition.
National Festivals
The National Festivals, Independence Day & Republic Days are celebrated with full enthusiasm and Patriotic spirit.
Welcome Social
A welcome Party is organized for the newly admitted students which includes a variety of entertainment programme presented by class XII students along with the S.G.A. and S.C.M. Office bearers.
Farewell Social for Class XII
Farewell is one of those emotional moments which include cherishing of memories as the seniors step out of the college. Class XI students along with the S.G.A. & S.C.M. office bearers plan a grand farewell party where a number of games, variety entertainment program is presented for the class XII students.
Students’ Achievement Competition
It is the great pride to submit this report on the outstanding achievement of our students who participated in the inter-college competition held at Babu Banarsi Das University, Lucknow on 29th November, 2024 . Isabella Thoburn College(Professional Studies). Our students demonstrated exceptional skills, teamwork and dedication, ultimately emerging as winners of the competition and bringing laurels to our college.
There were a number of competitions organized by Babu Banarsi Das University, Lucknow out of which our students had participated in two competitions. One was “SAMASYA MANTHAN” which was situation based (the students had to solve the problem of organization as an HR manager on the spot given by event organiser) and the other was “HR WORD FLOW CHALLENGE” in this completion the students had to explain the meaning of the word given to them on the spot in stipulated time. The students who won first prize in both the competition are Khushi Shukla and Akansha Mishra from MBA first year.
Orientation Programme
It is a two-day programme and is compulsory for all new students who are admitted in the College before the commencement of the regular classes. During this programme, the students are made aware of the rich cultural heritage of the College.
Portal Ceremony
Portal Ceremony marks the initiation of the new students into the Chandbagh family. To create in new students, a sense of dedication to the institution and to develop in them a deeper spirit of commitment to the values, the Principal, faculty, and students formally welcome the new students into the college portals. All are required to be dressed in White.
Arbour Day
On this day all the Students along with the Principal and Faculty plant, saplings to beautify the Campus and enrich the Environment. On this occasion, all are required to be dressed in Green.
Founder's Day
On Founder's Day we touch many of the wider circle of Alumnae as we remember our founder and friends who made this college possible. All are required to be dressed in WHITE.
Sports Day
Sports Day is for all, a day of fun and friendly competition. Teachers and students compete in many matches, each determined to win coveted prize.
Annual Day
College Annual Day is a day when the entire student’s body & Faculty present a variety of entertainment programme before an invited audience. Person of eminence in the field of Academics or Administration are invited as Chief Guest. The Principal's annual report is also presented.
Christmas Activities
To celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus Christ and to bring the spirit of Christmas alive in I.T. College, we organize many activities like- Christmas Pageant, White Gift Service, Candle Light Service, Karamchari Christmas, etc.
Award Ceremony
Award Ceremony is held to felicitate the students for their hard labour & efforts round the year. The parents of the awardees are invited for this service.
Installation and Thanksgiving Service
Newly appointed S.G.A. and S.C.M. office bearers along with their Advisors and House Mistress take the Oath of their office, to perform their duties faithfully. A special prayer service is held to thank God Almighty for the Class XII students, as they appear for their Board Examination. Principal gives an exhortation to the outgoing students, to go forth into the World in the service of humanity.
