CHANDBAGH CHRONICLE

The Chandbagh Chronicle is the annual magazine of Isabella Thoburn College. It represents the institutional affairs and activities in their wholeness and reflects the aspirations and ambitions of those who constitute the fraternity of the learners and the teachers. Every single event or assembly is not only reported by the reporters of the Editorial board but is also captured by the photographers of the Editorial board in their DSLR’s.

The first editorial board was formed in 1910. For the past 170 years the Editorial Board has been consistently acting as a bridge between college and media. The board publishes the annual magazine of the college i.e, The Chandbagh Chronicle and through this it provides a platform to the students of our college to showcase their creative literary expressions and photography skills.

The Chronicle is divided into two segments- The English Segment and The Hindi Segment.
The English segment is further divided in various sections like the Alumnae Section, the Diary of Events, the Creative Writing Section, the Shutterbugs and the Special Segment (which varies from year to year, as per the choice of the Editorial Board members).

The Editorial Board with zeal and enthusiasm organizes different competitions throughout the year like Creative Writing, Painting, Sketching, Photography etc. The objective behind these competitions is to collect the best content for the Chronicle. The participation in these competitions is open for the students of all streams irrespective of their age and class. The winners are felicitated by the Department of English and they get an opportunity to get featured in the Chronicle.
