BACCALAUREATE DAY

In Isabella Thoburn College talents and skills are the crops that are nurtured, groomed and given all possible opportunities to grow and bloom and baccalaureate day indeed is the celebration of the harvest of this crop.

The baccalaureate worship service is followed by Baccalaureate Award ceremony where the students of the college are appreciated, recognized, rewarded and their excellence in academic performance, extracurricular participation in co curricular activities is celebrated. They are also felicitated for displaying remarkable talents and leadership qualities.

The accomplishments of students are honoured by rewarding them with appreciation and merit certificates, awards, and scholarships.

The students in various students units SGA, SCM, Editorial boards, choir and college day caste are honoured by giving away the appreciation certificates for working endlessly and tirelessly to carry on the various programs and activities of the college.

Merit certificates are given to the meritorious students for securing highest marks in their respective subjects in the college in Lucknow University examination and also for securing highest aggregate in final examination.

Along with certificates of merit and appreciation students were awarded with scholarships and awards which the college friends have instituted to encourage excellence in academic performance and to promote participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

The coveted, Isabella Thoburn college scholarship for leadership qualities and devoted social services is the highlight of the ceremony.

The Ceremony comes to an end with the presentation of acknowledgements by College President Dr. E. S. Charles. After the ceremony the guests, parents of awardees and faculty were invited for the refreshment to celebrate the success of the students’ achievement.
