Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies) Objective: The objective of the activity was to enhance students’ critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills through a structured group discussion on a socially relevant topic. A group discussion was conducted in the college with two teams—Team Alpha and Team Beta—participating in a thought-provoking debate on the topic “Impact of Social Networking on Us.” The discussion was designed to explore the positive and negative influences of social networking platforms on individuals and society at large.

Team Alpha (In Favour of the Topic): • Ritika • Garima • Sakshi • Rishita • Raksha • Gauranshi

Team Beta (Against the Topic): • Alisha • Vedika • Mahak • Mahima • Unnati

Discussion Summary: Team Alpha highlighted the benefits of social networking such as enhanced connectivity, increased access to information, platforms for self-expression, and career opportunities.

Team Beta, on the other hand, focused on the negative consequences including mental health issues, reduced face-to-face interactions, misinformation spread, and privacy concerns.

Conclusion: The group discussion served as a valuable learning experience for all participants, encouraging analytical thinking and healthy exchange of ideas.
