Student Welfare Cell
The purpose of student Welfare cell is to maintain such an atmosphere in the college where students can excel in academic and extra-curricular activities.
Each student is important, with this thought counselling session are planned for individual students.
These sessions are organised to render help to students to overcome various challenges faced by them in academics, extra-curricular and in day today activities.
Anti-Ragging
“The most inhumane act is the offence of Ragging on a human being by an inhuman creature.”
Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in this institution including in its departments, constituent units, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, cafeteria, etc.).
Women’s Helpline
The Women Power Line 1090 is an Interactive Voice Response System based dedicated service in Uttar Pradesh, India, to empower women from all forms of harassment and ensure their safety in society.
1090 is a toll-free number that provides immediate help to the harassed women suffering from an anti-social behavior or any other format of assistance which is sought. This helpline handles the cases of offense against women and ensures speedy protection to women and girls.
Student Government Association(S.G.A)
Every student of Isabella Thoburn College (Professional Studies) is required to be a member of Student Government Association. The Student Government Association endeavours to encourage training in responsible citizenship in a democratic framework and fosters a sense of social accountability in the students. The students who are elected to the executive committee of the S.G.A. lead the rest of the students in every activity and are future leaders of the society.
Co-Curricular Activities
Isabella Thoburn College (professional studies) believes that professional knowledge and professional growth of student go hand in hand. The focus is given on not only making the students achieve academic excellence, but also professionally capable of contributing and competing to lead in the corporate world.
Worship Service: Morning Assembly
Morning assembly (worship) gives vision to the soul and strength to the will. Without it no character is well built. The beautiful Clotilda Lyon McDowell chapel has been dedicated for Christian worship. A period in the college curriculum is set aside. The form of worship is Christian and the services are designed to meet the needs of all and it is hoped that all will find help and inspiration in them. Morning assemblies are held daily, it is expected that all faculty and students attend it. Only Christian Worship is permitted within the College Premises and hostels.
College Magazine
The college magazine gives students an opportunity to express their literary genre. Students are encouraged to write articles, poems, anecdotes of the college and reflections which are printed and published by the College.
Moral and Spiritual Education (M.S.E.)
This class does not seek to propagate any particular religion. Its goal is to educate and instill moral values in the students. We offer education of the heart and the mind.
Debates and Dramatics
Opportunities are available for students to develop their skills in public speaking and dramatics through participation in debates and other forms of co-curricular activities.
