Six sigma is a very new and advanced approach in education system which is entirely based on the concept of KAIZEN (Japanese word signifying continuous improvement). Six Sigma is a strategical management tool to attain TQM (total quality management) in education system. The core principle of Six Sigma is DMAIC ie define, measure, analyse, improve and control. By application of this principle a greater efficiency in education system can be achieved which at the present is of great priority. Cleanliness is a habit not an act. However starting a campaign or drive highlights the issue, brings focus on the task at hand.
The students, under the guidance of our Director Dr. (Mrs.) E.S. Charles and the faculty members, carried out an awareness drive at Indourapur village (Bakshi ka Talab) to mark the 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Students through verbal presentations urged villagers not to defecate in the open and instead build toilets .The students also sensitised them about the harmful effects of garbage and sewage near their household and at village streets. They emphasised thatjust as food, water and oxygen are important for our existence;likewise cleanliness is crucial for our healthy physical and mental makeup. So it’s high time that we raise the consciousness of masses towards maintaining cleanliness in order to protect our environment and save the lives of hundreds of people who die due to unhygienic surroundings.
“Personality begins where comparison ends.”
An interactive session on the topic of “personality development” was arranged for our budding managers. Prof. Usmani assumed control of the seminar by engaging the audiences through his simple yet classic examples, witty jokes and Hindi-Urdu couplets. His comments regarding the organisational behaviour, recruitment and selection of candidates, personality development etc. came in very timely. Also, light was thrown on some timeless strategies to conquer any interview. The seminar was concluded after an open session where Prof. Usmani addressed and answered the queries of our managers to be.
It is only by avoiding the financial mistakes that we can best ensure our financial futures.

Being an expert himself, he was able to connect well with the students helping them polish their business and research acumen.Since the students are entering into a new growth stage of their pre-professional journey, Dr. Sinha’s comments were very timely.
